Partnership Value

Partnerships with clear purpose

Real change happens when local commitment and international friendship work together around one clear purpose: better outcomes for vulnerable families.

Through trusted partnerships, TAWESO receives not only financial support, but also skills, mentorship, and long-term collaboration that strengthen the quality of every program.

This partnership model helps us expand education access, improve child care services, and create practical income opportunities for women and youth in a sustainable and accountable way.

Income Generation

Cultural tourism that directly funds community development

TAWESO generates income through cultural tourism activities carried out around Mto wa Mbu village. This model combines culture, nature, and family participation to create sustainable local revenue.

Village walking tours Great Rift Valley hiking Canoeing experiences Home-based cultural visits Plantation visits Traditional cooking demos

Visitors explore banana, rice, maize, and fruit farms, learn traditional farming practices, taste local products, and spend time with host families. Women prepare traditional meals and guide cultural cooking demonstrations that generate direct household income.

The income TAWESO receives is reinvested in programs that uplift children, youth, and women, ensuring tourism contributes directly to the social and economic well-being of the whole community.

Youth Employment

TAWESO empowers youth through jobs as guides, canoe operators, and cultural interpreters, while building skills in tourism, hospitality, and environmental conservation.

Women Empowerment
